STATION NO.2: APRIL 2 SQUARE - TRAM HUONG TOWER

NT Bus | 05/11/2024

Tram Huong Tower is a symbol that helps promote the image of the coastal city to both domestic and international visitors. The tower is located at April 2 Square, along Tran Phu Street, right in the center of Nha Trang City. It was built in 2006 to replace the "Hoa Bien" art structure and was officially put into operation in December 2008.

The tower consists of six floors and a basement.

The basement houses technical rooms, elevators, and water and electrical systems to ensure the smooth operation of the tower. The ground floor has a pentagon-shaped courtyard matching the tower’s five-petal design. This area includes a main hall, four side halls, and an exhibition space showcasing images and tourism promotional products of Nha Trang and Khanh Hoa.

The tower's open design features transparent glass windows, allowing visitors to explore while enjoying the fresh breeze and a breathtaking view of the vast ocean. The first floor reflects the essence of the coastal city with five large sculptures depicting ocean waves. It connects to the square, where both tourists and locals gather for leisure activities. The second floor features an artistic design resembling sails on the blue sea, similar to delicate flower petals.

The upper four floors serve as exhibition spaces, displaying vibrant artworks, photographs of Khanh Hoa’s people and daily life, rare marine creatures, bird’s nest harvesting models, and a variety of agarwood products.

The highest part of Tram Huong Tower is the spire, which carries an air of mystery. During the day, the tower resembles a burning incense stick spreading its fragrant scent throughout the city. At night, it transforms into a glowing torch or a lighthouse, standing out amidst the urban landscape. Additionally, the tower is equipped with telescopes, allowing visitors to enjoy a panoramic view of Nha Trang City.
